EBRARQ
The "Escola Brasileira de Arquiometria e Ciências Aplicadas ao Patrimônio" (EBRARQ) was held for the first time in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, at the Maracanã campus of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), inspired by the “Scuola estiva de archeometria”, which was held annually in the province of Lecce, Italy.
The event, which is held twice a year, has the participation of the greatest national and international experts in the most used techniques in the area of cultural goods. The objective is to create a discussion forum, for students and specialists from different backgrounds, on a wide range of experimental techniques, which are used for knowledge, restoration and conservation of cultural heritage assets. The school's focus is also to be a place for exchanging experience and information between researchers from different sectors, through an integrated approach between scientific, stylistic, material, historical and philosophical analyzes with a view to overcoming the division between these disciplines.
